Album Information

Pop-washed, psych-dipped, folk-tinged, electro-frazzled and altogether outrageously enjoyable, Secret Soundz Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 were first released in 2008 and 2013 respectively, and were collected together for a double-album release in 2014 by Lost Map and Moshi Moshi Records.

Secret Soundz Vol.1 collects some of Pictish Trail’s earliest tunes, self-recorded at home in Fife, on his 8-track machine - with a suite of songs scattered throughout the album produced by the Manchester psychedelic collective, The Earlies.

Secret Soundz Vol.2 marks PT’s move to the Hebridean Isle of Eigg, recorded in a small bothy with his good friend, the Welsh singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Stephen Black, aka Sweet Baboo.
